Brittany Celebrates Art And Ancestry At Avant

Manila Bulletin (January 2013) - Brittany, the Vista Land subsidiary created to cater to the country’s higher-end and privileged market, honored the Christmas tradition of being with family with an exhibit titled “Color and Form in Genes” in partnership with the Liongoren Gallery.

The exhibition showcased the country’s masters of the visual arts and their equally talented offspring and kin in a tribute to parentage and lineage. It was held at the architectural opus – Avant at The Fort.
Opened on Nov. 16 at the main lobby of the Avant, now rising in the heart of the Fort Bonifacio Global City, “Color & Forms in Genes” put on display the creations of some of the country’s most renowned artist families.

The show was a collection of representational and free form sculptures in bronze and wood by National Artist Napoleon Abueva and his son, Mulawin; the bewitching brass sculptures of brothers Ferdie and Michael Cacnio; the exquisite fiberglass creations of Jun Vicaldo – 2011 Awardee of the Metrobank Prize for Achievement in Sculpture – and his daughter Erline; figurative paintings in different media by the brilliant De, Pios, Gig Sr., Simkin, Paulo, and Aileen Lanuza; the arresting acrylics of the highly-esteemed Angel Cacnio; abstract paintings by the modernists Alfredo Liongoren and former UP College of Fine Arts Dean Nestor Olarte Vinluan, with their equally gifted children Erik and Avid Liongoren, and Liv Vinluan; and the paintings of the multi-awarded and inimitable Samson brothers of Antipolo – Jerson, Julius, and Ray.
A sketching session with the featured artists earlier in the day kept the guests enthralled.  Vista Residences’ COO Maribeth Tolentino delivered the opening remarks and was followed with an uplifting message from Norma and Alfredo Liongoren – owners and curators of the Liongoren Gallery in Quezon City.
Part of the event’s proceeds will go to Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines, Inc. (OB) – a DSWD registered social work agency that works to fight hunger, disease, unemployment, illiteracy, and abuse – one family, one community at a time.

Brittany, for the very privileged
By exceeding simple opulence and moving into innovative and world-class design, Brittany seeks to raise the level of life and living of the country’s privileged few to unreached pinnacles that will make being among the country’s high society something to treasure and strive for.

With its selection of architectural masterpieces, Brittany has created a level of living beyond “grand.”  Every aspect of the building’s design and construction are leading edge in both function and form, with the end of creating the most magnificent and well-crafted domiciles in the country.

With a portfolio that remains unparalleled in the high-end segment of the country’s property sector, Brittany currently ranks among the top-listed property firms in the country in terms of total assets, earnings and market capitalization.

To date, Brittany offers four exquisite towers for society’s elite.  In the middle of the country’s finest and most exciting shopping, entertainment and business hub, the Mosaic stands in Greenbelt – a testament to the sophisticated yet laidback luxury Makati’s denizens work hard for and appreciate.

The high-rise will be a showcase of luxurious space and intense attention to detail – aesthetic or otherwise – that Brittany is known for.

Soon to be another Legaspi Village landmark is KL Mosaic.  The elegant 32-story condominium stands within Greenbelt’s perimeter pioneering the concept of “Art-chitecture” – the blending of elegant art with building design.  The tower is designed by W.V. Coscolluela & Associates with six facades – not the usual four, and it will boast “The Biggest Little Room” – a gallery to house the famed fine art collection of the Kalaw-Ledesma clan.

Brittany has also decided to stake its claim on the Bonifacio Global City with The Hudson at The Fort – a mixed-use, 28-story spectacle of glass, steel and stone that will put a modern spin to the other-worldliness of the Manhattan’s Soho and Greenwich Village with well-appointed dining, retail and service establishments in the midst of an al fresco backdrop.

Then, there is the breathtaking setting for the unprecedented and incomparable “Color & Forms in Genes,” Avant – also ruling over the Makati skyline at the Global City.

At 38 stories, Avant stands at the heart of the world-class crescent Park West in the Fort Bonifacio Global City as a beacon for green architecture, sustainability and keeping the earth rich – once again as an homage to family and lineage – for the generations to come.
